This picture was taken during a strong gust of wind at the Atlantic coast. The sea spray is dispersed by the strong wind and blown over the beach as salt water mist. A kind of veil is formed. People pause their activities and wait.

The red stairs, the red carpet is a symbol of being extravagant, special, unique, and extrovert – the question is: Where do I stand? Where do I want to go?

Tryptich: Oil to ashes

Deepwater and Eyjafjalajökull – the burning oil platform and the eruption of the Icelandic volcano. Both almost simultaneous events, almost biblical to me, with carbon leaking from the earth’s core in huge quantities, highlighted the vulnerability of our planet and, as a consequence, the dependence of human beings.
