The starting point for this kaleidoscope series was the discovery of a textile collection at the home of an old lady. She was a passionate collector of all things she found beautiful and she had travelled just as passionately – to the Orient and the Occident – at a time when it was still very exotic and extremely brave, especially as a single woman.
This is based on a number of photos of the contents of these drawers. I have selected samples and reassembled them. The colours were modified in part by me.
